Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of the character Detective Diane Russell. The most notable role she has played is her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney has a father who was an executive from the United Auto Workers who was also a mother. Delaney has four older brothers. As a young girl, she wanted to become a reporter for the court. In highschool, when she started modeling for commercials, and later after moving to New York. When she was a teenager the first time she appeared as an actress came in the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been in a variety of films television movies and dramas. Her career hasn't been good or satisfying personal life. There were two divorces that failed and fought with alcohol addiction. In 2005, the actress was denied custody over her only son.
